Pheu Thai occasion candidate Srettha Thavisin has been voted the next Thai top minister, after his predecessor Thaksin Shinawatra was once jailed.
Aged PM Shinawatra was once jailed upon returning to Thailand after 15 years in exile.
Pheu Thai insists the two developments – Mr Thaksin’s return and the coalition that voted for a Pheu Thai PM – are unconnected.
